The group turnover at Aalberts has fallen from 1.62 billion euros in the first half of 2024 to nearly 1.56 billion euros last six months. This lies the industrial conglomerate at the bottom of the expectations of analysts.

Net profit has fallen by almost 15 percent to 151.4 Milljoen euros, or 1.38 euros per share. Analysts assumed a net profit of 155 million, or 1.41 euros per share. The operating result (EBITA) amounted to 210 million euros in the first six months of 2025, a decrease of 32 million euros on an annual basis.

Profitability

Aalberts has seen his profitability in a year considerably deteriorate. Whereas in the first half of the year it still noted an EBITA margin of 15 percent, it has fallen to 13.5 percent in the past six months. According to the company, the most important reason for this relapse lies in the much lower sales volumes in the well -profiting semicons sector.

Although the defense and aviation activities show strong growth in the industrial branch, they cannot absorb the malaise in the car industry. The automotive sector is also plagued by uncertainties about possible trading rates.

Aalberts, for example, builds the covers of the ASML chip machines has seen that market cool in the first half. The Semicondivisie was left behind because of stock adjustments at chip companies and providers and a lower demand due to increasing uncertainty due to macro -economic and geopolitical developments. According to Aalberts, profitability in the semicon went up slightly in the second quarter.

Cash flow

However, Stéphane Simonetta, CEO of Aalberts Industries, does not expect any improvement in turnover for the rest of this year. That is why the company adjusts the EBITA marilly forecast for the entire year to 13 to 14%. The company continues to focus on improving the free cash flow.

“Thanks to the reduction in capital expenditures and the use of our teams to lower the stock, we have improved our free cash flow to € 56 million,” says Simonetta. That free cash flow was 48 million euros a year ago.
