The new world coach Thomas Tuchel is aiming for the next title after being honored by FIFA.
“We will take the privilege of representing Europe very, very seriously,” said the Chelsea FC coach in an interview with the world association after being named best coach of the year 2021 during an online gala with a view to the upcoming club WM. “We will do everything we can to win the title. Everyone can count on that.”
The tournament with seven teams in the United Arab Emirates from February 3rd to 12th will be “a great experience,” said Tuchel.
Chelsea are the reigning champions of the European Champions League, with the winner of the FIFA event succeeding FC Bayern as the title holders.
His election as World Coach of the Year felt “incredible”, said Tuchel, who took over the Blues just over a year ago and then led to the triumph in the premier class. “I know who I owe it to. It’s a team award, it’s not a one-man show, not for a single coach.”
Chelsea embody “what you see from the outside. We want to fight for every title, fight for victory in every game.”
