“We still have a lot to do”

Borussia Dortmund boosted their self-confidence with their narrow win in the Bundesliga against VfL Wolfsburg. BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl praised the team after the 1-0 win, but at the same time he looked forward again.

“We can become even more effective and targeted. But after this turbulent week, today was a step forward,” summarized Kehl to “Sky”.

BVB had to be patient for a long time in the duel with VfL Wolfsburg. Former captain Marco Reus ultimately scored the goal of the day in the 68th minute.

“The fact that the players are now receiving the applause brings self-confidence,” said Kehl, who also added: “We still have a lot to do.”

Things will happen quickly for Dortmund in the coming weeks. The tricky away game against the in-form TSG Hoffenheim is on Friday evening. BVB will then host AC Milan in the Champions League (October 4th). After the opening defeat against Paris Saint-Germain (0:2), the black and yellow are already under pressure in the premier class.

BVB star Reus: “At some point the playful thing will come”

The victory against VfL Wolfsburg comes at the right time. “Today we showed what we’re made of and how well, clearly and calmly we can play football. We played a really good game today, perhaps our best game this season when in possession of the ball. We can definitely build on that,” praised the head coach Edin Terzic.

“We played very calmly, even though the team hadn’t played together like that yet. We had the game under control for 90 minutes,” added winning goal scorer Reus.

At BVB you are “measured by victories, draws and defeats are not welcomed”. “We have to work hard, at some point the play will come. The fans gave us great support today, we just need that,” said Reus.
