Espanyol’s captain, David López, explained after the defeat against Betis at the RCDE Stadium (1-4) that the team must “raise its head and continue because there is still a long way to go”.
The footballer confessed that the setback was hard. “It is difficult and complicated. We are the first to want to turn the situation around. We must continue and criticize ourselves because these heavy defeats cannot happen,” he asserted.
David López acknowledged that the tactical bet after the break did not go as expected. “We have tried to go for them after the break and the play has gone wrong. We go screwed because we did not expect it”, commented.
