With Monday’s newspaper, the 14 points of difference that Peronism took out in the elections in the province, we can all say it: the model of Javier Milei does not close, the street is more hostile than ever with the libertarians and the punishment vote combined two reasons that are feedback, the economic malaria and the scandal of the coimas. But, until hours before the result, the truth is that the optical illusion of a government that the bullets did not enter was intact. In the case of the bribes in disability, and with the restless dollar, the rising country and the recession deepening, there were still surveys that predicted a victory of freedom advances in Buenos Aires territory. As if nothing was happening.
Well, the spell finally broke. It was demonstrated – to paraphrase the president and his phrase so unfortunate about journalists – that we do not vote enough to the Milei. Neither him nor his sister, the case of 3 percent. And if we do not vote enough it is for all the newly listed reasons that, although they were in sight, almost no one was encouraged to point out. Until the tremendous electoral sake confirmed the obvious: the king is naked. You just had to say it.
The government did not know what to do with that Monday of the 14 points of difference that now predict a more than complicated October. He went through all the phases of the duel, which are five.
The denial: when they argued that they had grown up in the province with respect to the legislative of four years ago, and when they said that the Buenos Aires voted in that way because they like to “shit into a bucket.”
The anger: when the president – everre, ever surrendered – vetoed the new laws of university financing and pediatric emergency to redouble his crusade against the “tax degenerates.”
The negotiation: when, to give a gesture to society, they launched a new “political table”, another “Federal Mesa” to try to approach the governors and also a new ministry, that of Interior, all with the aim of showing a reaction in public.
Depression: when, in the midst of their post -electoral inmates, those who claimed a change in the way of driving – among them, Santiago Caputo – understood that the modifications would only be cosmetic, that Karina Milei would continue to send and her brother depending on her.
And finally, the acceptance: when, in his national chain on Monday, Milei abjurated everything that contributed to bringing him to his difficult current situation, said there would be money for education, health, disabled and retired, and lowered eight changes in his arrogant style.
That is, he delivered his flags. At least in discursive.
In this last phase, the fierce León suddenly became a spoiled kitten, a metamorphosis that speaks of the power that the polls have in this democracy we knew how to achieve.
We do not vote enough to the Milei: that’s why they changed their speech.
