Millions in the minus: traditional club writes red numbers

A financial bad news is now added to the sporting crisis at Manchester United. The club presented its business figures for the past year – there is no good news.
Only one victory from the first four games of the Premier League, sensationally failed in the league cup of fourth division Grimsby Town – Manchester United completely missed the start of the season in England. In the league, the English co-record champion (20 titles, just like Liverpool FC, editor’s note) is only in 14th place.
Now there is the next blow to the “Red Devils”: United has once again written red numbers in his past financial year to match the sporting sadness. The club announced this on Wednesday.
Despite a record turnover of the equivalent of 767.7 million euros, the former series champion in 2024/25 also posted a balance of 21.2 million euros in the course of their historical decline to the 15th place of the Premier League. In the previous year, in the fifth negative result of the club at the time, the loss of business even was 80 million euros.
United only had to take a sensitive bankruptcy on the pitch last weekend: 0: 3 in the derby against Manchester City. The unrest in the club grows. Wayne Rooney, long -time attacker and record goal scorer of the club, is concerned about the weak start of the season – and targets team manager Rúben Amorim.
In his BBC talk show, Rooney said that he wanted to support coaches and teams as best as possible. Then, however, he added: “But if he is honest with himself, he will see: everything has gotten worse.” Now there are also the bad business figures.
