The Toyota Hilux of the Lategan-Cummings duo dominates the general classification of the Dakar 2025. We met them on the eve of the very tough 829 km stage that leads to Al Duwadimi. “This year’s Hilux is even better than last year’s car on every type of terrain and from the second test we managed to always be in the lead” Lategan told Gazzetta Motori, “but we have a very tough week ahead of us”. “The tests that worry me the most are those in which we don’t race together with the motorbikes” explains Cummings, “because in that case there is no one in front of us to open the way and mark the tracks”.
