THEn occasion of International Dance Daythis evening on Rai 1 it airs at 9.30pm We are dance, evening-event recorded at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo to celebrate the art of movement as a universal language, capable of uniting eras, cultures and generations. A show full of guests not only from the world of dance but also of cinema, music and TV.

Under the artistic direction of Eleonora Abbagnato, the show stages a choral story which crosses classical tradition and contemporary expressions. Weaving together great repertoires and new creations. Central idea of the evening event is that dance is not something you do, but something you “are”. An invisible language that passes through the body and becomes emotion, story and identity. The direction is by Fabrizio Guttuso Alaimo while the musical consultancy was entrusted to Amilda Bonfanti.
To accompany the viewers among the many performances an exceptional narrator: the actor and director Giuseppe Fiorello. Together with him too Anna Ferzetti, candidate for the next David di Donatello as Best Leading Actress for the film Grace by Paolo Sorrentino. The singer Noemi also completes the trio of hosts.

The guests of the show in Palermo: from Fiorella Mannoia to Dardust
At the Teatro Massimo she will be one of the protagonists Fiorella Mannoia; engaged since June tours Fiorella sings Fabrizio and Ivano: Anime Salve. An exciting musical journey through the repertoires and most loved songs by Fossati and De André which comes to life on the thirtieth anniversary of Hello Souls, milestone of Italian music and Faber’s last album made together with Fossati in 1996. The tour will open in Genoa with a double appointment on June 27th and June 28th and then continuing throughout Italy. Here are all the dates.
On stage too Dardustamong the most innovative Italian pianists and composers of the new generation who, in the next few days, will participate in the Venice Pavilion during the Biennale Arte (9 May – 22 November). Bringing his interpretation of Venice and signing an original composition within the exhibition project Persistent notesedited by Giovanna Zabotti.
Other musical artists will perform tonight, how Raf, Giuliano Sangiorgi and the extraordinary participation of Claudio Baglioni. The ironic incursions of We are dance instead they are entrusted to Corrado Nuzzo and Maria Di Biasea couple in life and on the stage who will give their personal vision of the world of dance.

During the show, there will be no shortage of them truly special dance performances, such as that of Nikita Perotti – winner of the latest edition of Dancing with the Stars – together with Andrea Delogu, who will give away a surprising tango together with colleague Samuel Peron.
Among the many artists from the world of dance, both from Italy and abroad, will be present: Alice Mariani (Prima Ballerina of the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan), Salvatore Manzo (Etoile of the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples), Michele Satriano (Principal Dancer of the Teatro Dell’Opera in Rome) and the Ballet of the Teatro Dell’Opera di Roma.
Gareth Haw enriches the cast even more (Lead Principal of the English National Ballet in London), Paul Mark (Etoile of the Opéra National in Paris), Madeline Woo (Principal of the San Francisco Ballet), Giorgi Potskhishvili (Principal of the Dutch National Ballet in Amsterdam) and the choreographers and dancers Sasha Riva and Simone Repele.
