Arminia Bielefeld suffered another setback in the fight for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga and lost at SV Sandhausen.

The East Westphalia lost 0: 1 (0: 1) at SV Sandhausen and remained victorious for the sixth time in the last seven third division games. While the Arminia was four points behind the relegation place for the time being, Sandhausen stopped his crash after eight games without a win.

Arminia starts furiously, but fails to judge

Arminia started the game with a lot of offensive urge. Only Bielefeld played in the early quarter of an hour. The East Westphalia left two big opportunities in the early quarter of an hour. Roberts Uldriķis desperate twice at the heavily parried SVS goalkeeper David Richter. First Bielefeld’s striker failed in one-on-one against judge (1st), then judge scratched the ball from the line (8th) after a cross and the re-end of Uldrikis.

As a result, Sandhausen came into the game better and was able to calm the game a little. After an hour’s half an hour, the host struck ice cold. Marco Schikora only hit the post with his head, the 30-year-old brought the rebound in the goal (27th).

Judge becomes a match winner

Bielefeld only showed a reaction shortly before the change of sides. A shot from Mael Corbuz grazed the outer post (42.). A few seconds later, Joel Grodowski’s shot was blocked from a promising position.

Bielefeld started one in halftime – with a big chance. Grodowski was strongly staged by Christopher Lannert, the strong judge (46th) again thwarted his header.

Bielefeld, as in round one, did a lot for the game but repeatedly failed due to judges. So also in the 70th minute: again the Arminia became dangerous after a high ball. First Joel Felix headed the ball to the post, the dusted Uldriki brought the goal to the goal, where Richter tore his arm up and parried the ball.
