Tyson Fury wants the next struggle of the giants, the Bochum Agit Kabayel hopes for his World Cup chance, but the first candidate for the challenge of the undisputed heavyweight champion is another: The professional boxing association WBO instructed Ukrainian Alexander Usyk to perceive the duty against the New Zealand Joseph Parker. Both boxers therefore have 30 days to agree on the conditions.

Usyk had crowned the undisputed world champion in heavyweight on Saturday in the Wembley Stadium in London with a co-win against the British Daniel Dubois for the second time after 2024. The 38-year-old now holds the belts of the associations IBF, WBA, WBC and WBO.

In 2024, Usyk had already united all four titles, but handed over the IBF belt a little later because he presented a second duel with Fury to defense. Dubois was then appointed IBF world champion. Parker is a WBO interim world champion, Kabayel has a claim to a World Cup fight as the WBC interim shampion. The Briton Fury had recently challenged Usyk to the public.
