Amsterdam – Rogue companies that take Dutch investors’ savings out of pocket by investing in all kinds of much too risky products: last year the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets not only imposed fines to tackle such firms, it even imposed a trade ban in eight cases. “This remains a persistent problem,” says Jan Boerboom, head of market integrity and enforcement of the watchdog.
