Watch out for strong gusts of wind and heavy rain: ‘It will be soaking wet’

According to the KNMI, you will have to be careful on the road on Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning. The weather institute warns for a lot of rain and strong gusts of wind. Those wind gusts can reach speeds of seventy to one hundred kilometers per hour. The area with heavy gusts of wind will move northeast across the Netherlands in the course of Wednesday morning.

“It will really rain for a long time in the province next night,” Jeroen Elferink of Weerplaza told Tuesday morning in the radio program ‘WAKKER’ on Omroep Brabant. “The temperature then drops to 14 degrees, but the rain in particular is a point of attention. Ten to thirty millimeters of rain can fall. So it will be soaking wet again in the province.”

“On the weekend we get tropical temperatures.”

In the course of the morning the rain clears away quite quickly and then the sun breaks through from the south. “It is still a bit on the cool side, 19 maybe 20 degrees.”

Temperatures will rise from Thursday. “Then it will be 24 degrees. From Friday the sun will come out and we will reach 29 degrees. We will even get tropical temperatures during the weekend.”

“Tuesday the temperature is still stuck at 20 to 22 degrees.”

The sun is also shining this Tuesday morning, but the temperature is still stuck at 20 to 22 degrees. “In the afternoon we see the clouds increasing. Maybe a shower will form locally, but it will remain dry in the vast majority of places.”
