The United States has asked the UN to leave a “Russian intelligence agent working for the United Nations”. This is reported by the United States delegation.

The US started proceedings to demand the departure of the Russian, who “has abused the privileges of residence in the United States”, a spokesperson for the US representation said.

The US had already decided on Monday to expel 12 members of the Russian UN delegation by March 7, on charges of espionage.

“This is a hostile act against our country,” Russian Ambassador to the US Anatoli Antonov said.
