Total football madness in African country remains dangerous, says eyewitness
AMSTERDAM – The stadium disaster in Yaoundé has cast a shadow over the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon. A stampede before the Cameroon-Comoros match left eight dead and dozens injured. Former Cameroonian international Willie Overtoom and Nydel Forgweh, an Amsterdammer with roots in the African country who attended the match in question as a spectator, warn of a possible repetition of the tragedy due to the explosive football experience in Cameroon.
