An area of ​​rain and thunderstorms is moving across the country from the southwest towards the northeast. According to NH weatherman Jan Visser, the showers above North Holland can be locally heavy.

The KNMI warns of thunderstorms, heavy rain with hail and gusts of wind and therefore issues a code yellow. Rijkswaterstaat warns road users of dangerous situations during the evening rush hour. Long traffic jams may arise.

The showers will move from southwest to northeast across the country. According to the KNMI, the showers may also become heavier as they move further north.

The nuisance will probably last until 8 p.m. in the northern provinces.

Before the showers arrive, the temperature will rise to about 25 degrees.
