Wagner commander in rare BBC interview: “We had no idea what was happening” during mutiny

Wagner leader Yevgeny Prigozhin unexpectedly organized an armed uprising in June, sending his troops to the southern Russian city of Rostov and then on to the capital Moscow. A mercenary who took part in the short-lived mutiny says he and his fellow fighters “had no idea” what was going on. “We heard what happened through Telegram, just like you.”
