VVD MP Ulysse Ellian is a guest on WNL on Sunday and says he wants the Iranian ambassador to the Netherlands to be deported. According to him, this would have a symbolic value and send a strong signal to Iranians who want to stand up against the regime. Expelling the Iranian ambassador is not the official position of the VVD in the House of Representatives. According to him, the faction does not support concrete measures such as sending away diplomats.
