One person was injured this afternoon in an explosion in a fire barrel in Coevorden. Around 3 p.m., the fire brigade received a report of an explosion at a house on Secretary Lammertsstraat.
The fire barrel contained an unknown substance, which caused it to explode when lit. As a result of the explosion, the barrel was launched onto the roof of the nearby house.
The fire brigade removed the barrel from the roof and the person was taken to hospital after examination by medical staff.
