More than 30 years ago, Harald and Sylvia met each other in the small zoo in Haarlem. Since then, the two volunteers have devoted their heart and soul to the care of animals such as raccoons, arctic foxes and porcupines.
Their years of dedication have not gone unnoticed. During the zoo’s 60th anniversary, the couple received a royal award from Mayor Jos Wienen yesterday. And guess what? Harald and Sylvia secretly applied for a ribbon for each other.
