The German volleyball players celebrated a comeback victory in front of a strong backdrop in the World Cup preparation.
The team of national coach Michal Winiarski won 3: 2 (25:17, 23:25, 10:25, 25:22, 16:14) against Belgium and returned to the same place for the defeat on the evening before.
In front of 3,200 frenetic spectators in the sold -out arena, exceptional players Georg Grozer provided the first German point. Led by the 40-year-old, the team started vigorously.
In the second round, the guests were the better team. After 14:18, the hosts fought back to 23:23 bit by bit. But a service error and a Belgian block decided the sentence. It also ran almost the same in round three.
In the fourth set, the Germans were more awake and grozer again. Again and again the ex-Lüneburger Erik Röhrs also set strong actions. The tie break was balanced until the end. A massive blow from Grozer brought victory.
The World Cup in the Philippines begins on September 12th. The German team wants to play for a medal.
