With her furthest punch of 20.19, the Volendamse strengthened its fourth place in this year’s world ranking. She just stayed just under her Dutch record of 20.31.
Painter will start in two weeks at the EK Indoor in Apeldoorn as a favorite for honorary metal. She did not want to do too much to do too much after the final at the Dutch Championship.
“I hope to bump far before the Dutch public,” she said. “I got a little difficult today and I didn’t feel very fit. Probably because I have just returned from abroad. Hopefully I will be 100 percent in two weeks.”
