DFB Cup winner VfB Stuttgart once again experiences unrest due to inconsistencies in his management. It hit the supervisory board of the Bundesliga club violently.
As VfB Stuttgart announced on Sunday, Supervisory Board Beate Beck-Deharde has settled her mandate with immediate effect. The entrepreneur also turned in parallel with a letter of resignation on club bodies and several media.
In this, Beck-Deharde raised serious allegations regarding the cooperation between the VfB board and the supervisory board, which is supposed to call and control it.
According to Beck-Dehardes, the board, which in turn is responsible for the Swabian operating business, which is not provided to the control of the check.
The ex-supervisory board literally criticized “unacceptable transparency”, a “lack of processes” and “unbalanced information and discussion culture”, the “kicker” quoted from her letter.
“Unfortunately, the impression has arisen lately that the board is increasingly trying to influence the Supervisory Board and steer them in a direction he wanted,” said Beck-Deharde.
VfB Stuttgart reacts to allegations
A “development that is no longer compatible with my entrepreneurial and personal principles,” she wrote, “especially in questions of economic decisions, in matters of transparency and in terms of the way important and fundamental decisions are made”. In addition, the 50+1 regulation at VfB “now only on paper”.
The VfB announced that it had “perceived the way of Beck-Deharde’s resignation”.
Dietmar Allgaier, Chairman of the Supervisory Board and President of the Stuttgart, said: “We respect this personal decision by Ms. Beck-Deharde. Nevertheless, it should be emphasized that the chosen procedure does not meet the constructive and trusting cooperation that has returned to VfB.
He emphasized: “The 50+1 rule is and remains fully presumed at VfB Stuttgart. Considered findings are substance and baseless and attack the integrity of the bodies, offices and people.”
