After his resignation as Minister of Justice, Van Quickenborne returns to Kortrijk and takes up the position of mayor again. Acting mayor Ruth Vandenberghe will again become first alderman. Van Quickenborne is grateful to Vandenberghe and wants to continue managing Kortrijk with her.
Many Kortrijk residents would rather not see Van Quickenborne return as mayor. He wants to regain their trust. Van Quickenborne therefore wants to focus primarily on safety. For example, bicycle thefts are a plague in the city. Kortrijk must become even greener, more beautiful and safer.
