All eleven The Flemish regional broadcasters receive a general valuation score of at least 7 out of 10 for their news offer and thus also achieve the quality standard that the Flemish government sets in 2024. The regional broadcasters have a loyal basis: the number of viewers that looks just as often or more than one year ago has remained stable.
The regional news is mainly appreciated because of its reliability and current events, followed by “being in touch” with the people from the neighborhood and accessibility. Currentism and mobility remain the most important interest domains of viewers, followed by entertainment, tourism and culture. Compared to 2023, there is a strikingly greater interest in current events and news, traffic and mobility, tourism, municipal politics and economic news.
