View the photos of the second edition of the Hoogeveen City Festival here. Bouke, Suzan & Freek, Meau and Queen Must Go On, among others, performed

The second edition of the Stadsfestival in Hoogeveen is again one for the books. The day started with rain, which meant that the visitors entered the festival site a little later than last year, but the rain was not allowed to spoil the fun.

The first performances were all about the children. Pippa took a seat on the stage ‘Giocatori’. Bouke & The Elvis Matters Band kicked off on the mainstage. Because of the rain, the audience was mostly in ponchos at first, but the fun was certainly there.

Just like last year, the Steenbergerpark was decorated with colorful decorations and rolling colorful animals, which the children especially liked very much. Even though the adults also really wanted to be photographed with these works of art. In between performances, they quickly moved to one of the other stages. For example, the tent was full for the Doe Maar cover band.

Wide choice for the inner man

There was also plenty of choice for the hungry appetite. For example, a bowl of sushi, a hamburger sandwich and a pizza slice could be scored for a few coins.

Prices are slightly higher than last year. Cover band Queen Must Go On will close around 11 pm on the mainstage and Bizzey will be last on stage tonight at ‘Giocatori’.

Judging by the number of visitors, it was again a successful festival and certainly worth repeating. See the photos of the City Festival below.
