After a happy but remarkable victory in home strong 1. FC Kaiserslautern, the 1st FC Nürnberg can dream of promotion to the Bundesliga again.
The club won on Saturday thanks to two nice goals and with luck with 2: 1 (1-0) on the Betzenberg and now only has two points behind the FCK. Nuremberg, as the table seventh, only separate three points from the relegation place of the 2nd Bundesliga, which Elversberg took on Saturday evening. The goals scored Fabio Gruber (14th) and Mahir Emreli (68th), Marlon Ritter shortened by a penalty (72nd).
Kaiserslautern left out many opportunities and scored the crossbar twice. In the end, the FCK had given 24 goal shots, Nuremberg only 5. “We hit everything, tried everything”, Ritter said at “Sky”. “Unfortunately there are days in football when you have so many chances, but go home without points.”
Special victory for returnees Klose
Nuremberg coach Miroslav Klose celebrated a successful return to Kaiserslautern, where he grew up and where his great striker career had started. “Everyone in the team knew what that means to me here today” said Klose and praised his team. “I can’t pull enough hats in front of my team.”
With the unfortunate defeat, Kaiserslautern missed the leap to the relegation place and lost home for the first time since December.
Nice header from Gruber
Gruber had set the climax in a low -chance. After a corner kick from the right, the Nuremberg winter access climbed out of the first post and headed the ball into the goal over the left inner post. It was the first goal of the 22-year-old for the club.
With the recovered Julian Krahl in the goal, the FCK was the slightly dominating team in round one. The FCN remained dangerous.
Emreli with a dream goal
After the change of sides, Kaiserslautern picked up speed and put the Nuremberg pressure under pressure. Marlon Ritter in particular had several good opportunities, but often found his master in goalkeeper Jan Reichert.
In the middle of the louder urge phase, Nuremberg’s second goal fell, he was the result of a fantastic individual campaign. The Azerbaijani international Emreli dribbled freely by an excessive and fed up into the right angle with the left.
Two latte twice
Four minutes later, the Nuremberg Kaiserslautern brought back into the game by walking the ball with his arm in his own 16. Ritter converted the due penalty into the left corner.
Again just four minutes later, Ritter would have struck the next time, drog the ball from the distance to the lower edge of the crossbar. From there the ball jumped just before the line, only centimeters were missing.
Kaiserslautern continued to ran and had an aluminum pech again when Maximilian Bauer headed to the crossbar from an acute angle. Further thick possibilities followed, among other things, goalkeeper Ragnar Ache from eleven meters – a goal no longer scored Kaiserslautern.
