Victor Vlam has become part of the VI family, but does not want an image as a Talpa servant. How does he prevent that? By attacking Linda de Mol while he is sitting next to her daughter.
It is a field of tension that many media thongers will sooner or later have to deal with: how do you stay independent if you yourself are also part of the TV world that you criticize? Angela de Jong always remained credible, but Rob Goossens is completely tamed by RTL. Victor Vlam wants to prevent such a situation now that he regularly comes to TV at Talpa.
Gambling
Nowadays we see Victor regularly appearing as a TV critic at today Inside and the derivative The Oranjezondagbut he absolutely does not want to be known as a Talpa-minded person. He had therefore thought yesterday to express fierce criticism of Talpas on the bar stool of Hélène Hendriks Mater Familias Linda de Mol, under the watchful eye of her daughter Noa Vahle.
Victor sits right next to Noa when he decides to criticize Linda’s role in Miljoenenjacht. Since that program has been on the tube for three centuries, it comes over somewhat, but it is quite an entertaining trick. “What most candidates do is that they play for too long and then it will be a game of chance,” he begins.
Drug dealer
Miljoenenjacht candidates quickly become greasy, says Victor. “Most people get greedy when they are playing that game. Half of the suitcases are less than 5,000 euros. That is not a lot of money, so actually my strategy is actually: you have to pass on to the third or fourth round.”
Victor’s criticism is that Linda encourages that greed too much. He says to Noa: “I also think that her mother honestly – sorry I say so – is a bit of a drug dealer in that respect.”
“What are you saying?”
Hélène Hendriks participates in the TV moment. “What are you saying?!” She shouts.
Victor defensive: “I mean Metaphoric! Metaphorical!”
Noa responds laconically: “But for a moment: this program has been around for 25 years and you will find out now?”
Victor: “No, I’ll not find out now. I’ve been knowing this for years. I have been worse here for years. Most people are going for that 5 million and Linda tries to seduce them to continue. That’s nice television, but that’s bad for the candidates.”
“That’s TV!”
Noa doesn’t see the problem like that. “Yes, but that’s TV.”
Victor: “You just don’t have to be hunted by Linda. That is my advice for all those candidates.”
Hélène: “I also have advice! You just have to do victim support for those people!”
Victor: “I would like to play it once. I would play it super rational.”
Noa concludes: “Well, nice. I will introduce it. I don’t think it will continue.”
