A passenger of a car was seriously injured on Saturday evening by an accident on the A27 near Bavel. The occupant was thrown out of the vehicle and ended up on the road surface, the police reported on X. In the accident, two cars were damaged. The police are looking for a third car. The driver of this car would have hit the victim and drove on.
The first report of the accident arrived at the police just after half past eight. Emergency services pulled out, a trauma helicopter also came to the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital.
The police reported around eleven on Saturday evening that the third vehicle would have been involved in the accident. She calls on the motorist to report, she also asks witnesses to report.
It is still unclear what exactly happened, the police are investigating. Around two hundred motorists came to a halt on the highway and eventually led away.
The connecting road from Breda to Tilburg is closed due to the accident. It is unclear how long the investigation will take.
