Defensive all-rounder Paterson Chato will play football outside of Germany for the first time. The 27-year-old is leaving VfL Osnabrück and is joining SC Austria Lustenau in the Austrian Bundesliga until the end of the season. While Chato made 29 appearances in the third division last season – albeit often as a last-minute substitute – he only made one appearance this season: in the 7-0 defeat against Hannover 96 on the sixth second division matchday . Lustenau says Osnabrück will not pay any transfer fee for the transfer.
