VfL Bochum has responded to a report by “PictureAccording to the newspaper, Florent Muslija from SC Paderborn was identified as a possible new signing. The 25-year-old offensive player only has a contract with East Westphalia until the end of the season. That’s why the Bundesliga club has already contacted the Kosovar’s management.
Muslija has been one of the best players in the 2nd Bundesliga for years. Before his time in Paderborn, where he has scored 25 goals and 14 assists in 90 appearances since the summer of 2022, the right-footer was active at Hannover 96 and Karlsruher SC. He was only allowed to play in the upper house in the second half of the 2018/19 season.
After five years in the second division, the return to the Bundesliga is scheduled to take place in the summer. Signing a contract immediately in Bochum would bring with it the risk of VfL being relegated. After 16 games, the lead over 16th place is six points. According to the report, an immediate transfer in January is unlikely, but not ruled out. Only if another club intervened could Bochum decide to make an earlier move.
