When asked by RTL/NTV and sport.de VfB boss Alexander Wehrle confirmed on Friday his attitude that Nick Woltemade was not for sale. “I have already commented on this. With a point. It remains,” the CEO clarified.
The 50-year-old had emphasized to the “Stuttgarter Zeitung” and the “Stuttgarter Nachrichten” last week: “We are going to the next season with Nick. Point!”
Even in conversation with RTL/NTV and Sport.de, Wehrle had excluded a sale of the attacker weeks ago. The Munich team could “stretch out their feelers as they want”, the 50-year-old made clear in May.
But a lot of movement has come into the poker in the past few days. On Thursday it became known that Woltemade agreed with FC Bayern on a transfer. First “Sky” and the “Münchner Abendzeitung” reported.

VfB sports director Fabian Wohlgemuth was unimpressed by the reports compared to “Bild”. “The fact that others have not remained hidden and can now be read about the interest of other clubs almost every day does not change the fact that Nick’s path is far from over,” said the head of sports.
At the Neckar they want to continue working with the shooting star. “There is no alternative planning scenario,” says Wohlgemuth.
According to the “Bild” report, the intensive promotion of FC Bayern ensured that the Swabian price tag has grown further. Most recently, there was still talk of a possible transfer fee of 60 million euros.
