According to consistent media reports, the extension of offensive star Deniz Undav at VfB Stuttgart is now just a formality. The Swabians are apparently already looking to the future regardless of the whereabouts of the DFB star – and are supposed to explore the market accordingly.

According to consistent media reports, VfB Stuttgart will soon announce that Deniz Undav has extended his contract by two years until the summer of 2029. Accordingly, there should be an option for another season, Undav’s salary will be increased to around six million euros and the 29-year-old will receive around three million euros as a signing fee. Regardless of this impending personnel coup, the country should have their sights set on a storming talent.

Tim van der Leij from RKC Waalwijk is said to have liked VfB Stuttgart. This is what the “kicker” reports.

The 20-year-old 1.98 meter giant scored 13 goals in 33 games in the Dutch lower house of football in 2025/26. There are also four goals in three cup games.

A yield that apparently did not go unnoticed by the people of Stuttgart. Although the initial plan is to sign van der Leij for secondary representation, the option to advertise for assignments with the professionals should exist.

Is a youngster leaving VfB Stuttgart?

According to “kicker”, those responsible for both clubs have already started discussions. The sticking point is therefore the Dutch transfer fee demand. Walwijk is said to be demanding a seven-figure sum, but VfB probably doesn’t want to exceed the million mark. Van der Leij’s contract with RKC Waalwijk ends in 2029.

There could also soon be something to report on the departure side in Stuttgart: Noah Darvich is said to be very popular with newly promoted Bundesliga club SV Elversberg. This is what the “kicker” reports.

The German junior international moved from FC Barcelona’s youth team to Stuttgart in the summer of 2025, but was only able to impress in the country in the uniform of the second team. There should be no shortage of interested parties, the SVE is now also getting involved.
