VfB Stuttgart apparently wants to start with a new regular keeper in the 2023/24 season, regardless of the league. According to the “Picture“ Those responsible do not consider ex-number one Florian Müller (25) or currently playing Fabian Bredlow (28) as a solution beyond this season.
Müller had lost his regular place in February, and Bredlow also made several mistakes afterwards – most recently in the 1-1 draw against Bayer Leverkusen. Both are currently assessed at a market value of 1.5 million euros and are committed until 2025 and 2024 respectively. The separation is planned for the summer. Specific goalkeeper names have not yet been traded in the rumor mill in connection with VfB.
The report initially met with approval in the Stuttgart Forum. User “patman1893” writes: “Would be Wohlgemuth’s (sports director; editor’s note) first personnel decision, which actually makes sense to me, at least as far as Müller is concerned, who simply needs a change of scenery and a career reboot. I see Bredlow as a good number two, but I think it makes sense to give Florian Schock and Dennis Seimen (as No. 2 and 3 in the professional squad) this chance so that they don’t make the departure at some point. Then let’s hope that Wohlgemuth has a better hand than Mislintat.”
