VfB Stuttgart may have to do without national players Angelo Stiller in the DFB Cup final on May 24th against Arminia Bielefeld. The Bundesliga club announced the official diagnosis of the professional on Monday, which had to be replaced injured on Sunday after a duel with Augsburg’s Samuel dining. Stiller suffered a ligament injury in the ankle, which resulted in the MRI examination.
Stiller is not available for the time being, but “we have hope that Angelo can be used in the final. But we have to wait for the healing process,” said VfB board member Fabian Wohlgemuth. The opponent’s dining end was Stiller in the duel with the FCA violently stepped onto the calf. Referee Timo Gerach initially showed the attacker yellow, but then looked at the scene on the screen again and pulled out red (12th). Stiller was treated for a long time, bandaged and finally replaced. The 24-year-old cried when he limp from the field. Later he reappeared at the replacement bench with crutches.
