Strong deal from VfB. I would never have expected that a few weeks ago. Next to Sosa the most important player for the Stuttgart offensive game. Given the current situation at VfB, I would have expected him to switch in the summer for something between 12-15 million with a year left on contract.
It’s a very good thing for VfB, both financially and in terms of sport, to have tied him up for a longer period of time. If he stays reasonably fit, he is the difference player.
12-15 million with a year’s remaining contract… I always wonder who should pay this utopian sum, Silas is right and important for VfB, but let’s be honest, there are enough players of his type and quality, so that half of that might be realistic with the previous contract length… But there are also fans who call for 45-50 million for a Manu Koné, even if only 30 million were paid for a Camavinga…
The clubs, for which such a player would be interesting, have to look at the expenses themselves and for the top end they are a size too small…
So it’s good that he’s committed to deen VfB, where he can actually be a difference player
