Since Alexander Wehrle was at VfB Stuttgart, there have been positive developments. These could increase in the future – it will be preserved for the club.
VfB Stuttgart is standing up for the future – and binds its CEO in the long term. Alexander Wehrle remains the club according to “Bild” and Sky until at least 2030. This was apparently decided on Wednesday evening at the meeting of the Supervisory Board.
According to Sky, the 50-year-old has already signed the new working paper. Wehrle has been CEO of Stuttgart since March 2022.
A lot has happened at VfB since he was in office. Economically, the club is significantly better than a few years ago – new sponsors and the entry of Porsche as an investor have contributed to this. Wehrle also had a good sense of personnel: Among other things, he brought Fabian Wohlgemuth to Stuttgart, initially as a sports director, now this sports director is.
VfB also shows a positive development under Wehrle’s leadership. After the runner-up and the qualification for the Champions League last season, the Stuttgarters have the chance for the first title since 2007. In the DFB Cup, the club is in the semi-finals.
