She met the love of her life through horse driving, and was even proposed to on a horse-drawn carriage. But the sport that gave her so much, Evi Vandersmissen (40) has now also become fatal. The vet from Sint-Truiden passed away two days after she was thrown from the carriage during a competition. By donating her organs, she was posthumously doing what she’s been doing her entire career: helping others.
