“Very good” discussions with 1. FC Köln

Former world champion Lukas Podolski has reported “very good” discussions with his long-time club 1. FC Köln and believes a return to the cathedral city is possible.

“We have already exchanged ideas, which I think is very nice. If this continues, I can well imagine helping 1. FC Köln in a position – closer to the club than before. After my career, I have to decide first “What I want,” said Podolski, who is still active for the Polish club Gornik Zabrze, to the TV channel “Sky”.

But there are currently more important things there than finding a place for Lukas Podolski in the next two weeks, said the 38-year-old, with a view to the relegation battle of his favorite club, where his professional career once began. The situation is currently shit.

“The most important thing now is to solve the sporting problems and stay in the class. That has to be the focus until May. All other things like the financial aspects, problems with the city or the Baumgart issue should be put behind you first “The FC now has a new coach and the first home game of the new year next week. You have to focus on that. Everything else is just nonsense,” emphasized the 130-time national player.
