Very active FC Utrecht rents Hendriks from Feyenoord | NOW

FC Utrecht confirmed the arrival of Ramon Hendriks on Wednesday. The twenty-year-old defender is rented from Feyenoord for the duration of one season.

Hendriks played eight Eredivisie matches for Feyenoord last season, which used him three times in the Conference League. The defender was leased by the Rotterdammers to NAC Breda during the 2020/2021 season.

Hendriks is the seventh reinforcement for FC Utrecht in this transfer period. At an earlier stage, the number seven of the past Eredivisie season already attracted Taylor Booth, Luuk Brouwers, Joshua Rawlins, Nick Viergever, Calvin Raatsie and Vasilis Barkas.

FC Utrecht has stipulated an option to purchase on Hendriks in the lease. If the Domstedelingen make use of this, Feyenoord in turn has an option to buy the defender back from FC Utrecht.

Technical director Jordy Zuidam is delighted with the arrival of the youth international on the FC Utrecht club site. “We have been following Ramon’s development for quite some time with extraordinary interest and are pleased that we can now add him to our roster initially on a loan basis but with prospects of a permanent transfer.”
