Verstappen crowns catching up – next Ferrari debacle

The Dutchman prevailed in a thrilling race and there were two surprises on the podium. And Ferrari? Experience the next disappointment.

That was an exclamation point from the Formula 1 world champion: Max Verstappen won the Hungarian Grand Prix – after a furious race to catch up from 10th on the grid. Second at the Hungaroring was record world champion Lewis Hamilton ahead of his Mercedes teammate George Russell, with the Silver Arrows confirming their ascending position Shape.

Ferrari, on the other hand, experienced another disastrous Sunday: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, who had started the race from positions 2 and 3, fell off the podium in the end, Monegasse finished 6th, Sainz was still 4th. The Ferraris were Delivered time and time again by Red Bull and Mercedes, they had to be overtaken almost defenseless. The title race in the premier class is increasingly heading towards Verstappen.

Sebastian Vettel finished 10th in the first race after announcing his retirement, Mick Schumacher was 15th, after all he won the team-internal Haas duel with Kevin Magnussen.
