Venlo gets its own children’s mayor – 1Limburg

In order to get children excited, Mayor Antoin Scholten will visit three schools in September where he will give guest lectures about local democracy and the office of the mayor. Ultimately, a special committee, including mayor Scholten, an alderman and a councilor, determines who will be the first children’s mayor.
