Belgian motorcycle helmet manufacturer Lazer bankrupt | Inland

Lazer SA was declared bankrupt by the company court of Nivelles on 13 June. The company has gone through several reorganisations in recent years. At the end of 2020, the company was 34 million euros in the red.

Business newspaper L’Echo wrote today that the management of the oldest motorcycle helmet brand in the world had tried to make a new start through a procedure of judicial reorganization. However, insufficient resources could be gathered for this. The corona crisis and the resulting consequences for the sector are the cause of the bankruptcy, according to CEO and main shareholder Alexander de Vos van Steenwijk.
