Tennisser Botic van de Zandschulp withdrew at the last minute for the Rosmalen grass tournament. The number 90 in the world misses the tournament in its own country due to an injury to an upper arm, a spokesperson for the Libéma Open confirms. Van de Zandschulp would take on Monday afternoon in the first round against the Italian Mattia Bellucci, the number 72 in the world.
Van de Zandschulp lost last month at Roland Garros in the first round of the American Emilio Nava. Even then the 29-year-old Dutchman complained about pain in an arm, after having previously had other physical defects.
Van de Zandschulp hoped to win a game in Rosmalen for the first time this year.
Earlier Tallon Griekspoor reported itself for the tournament. He was not recovered in time from his abdominal muscle injury he had sustained during Roland Garros.
