Valtteri Bottas’ continuation in the Alfa Romeo F1 team is confirmed. The stable will inform about it on Instagram.
Bottas had an option with the Swiss team for an additional year, which was used.
Alfa Romeo said in the same release that the Chinese Guanyu Zhou will continue as the Finn’s teammate. The two have raced together for the last two seasons.
Fixing Bottas for next season was not a surprise from the team, but in the case of Zhou, the discussion has become more heated. Alfa Romeo must also have considered a replacement for the 24-year-old.
In his career, Zhou has collected a modest ten points in 36 competitions. This season, the Chinese has four points and Bottas has six.
