Valentino Rossi has removed the veil from his Audi R8 Lms GT3 Evo II, the supercar with the number 46 on the sides with which the Doctor will participate in the GT World Challenge Europe 2022. The livery? The yellow, inevitable, stands out, the color that has accompanied the 43-year-old rider from Pesaro for many years, first in his career in the World Championship, now in the new “adventure” with the Gran Turismo derived from the series. The debut in the race is scheduled for Sunday 3 April in Imola, theater of the first round of the Endurance Cup; the second appointment in Italy expected on 3 July, in Misano Adriatico, for the Sprint Cup.

After showing the yellow-black-white livery to the public via the social network, Valentino Rossi is ready to board the cockpit for a day of official tests, on Tuesday 8 March, on the same French track. The Doctor’s Audi R8, 4,599 meters long by 1,997 meters wide and 1,171 meters high, is equipped with a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V10 petrol engine in the rear center position, combined with the 6-speed sequential gearbox; the maximum power is 585 horses and the torque of 550 Nm. Rossi will share the car with the Swiss Nico Müller (in the five Endurance races) and with the Belgian Frédéric Vervisch, both in the endurance tests and in the five Sprint Cup races.
