PSV has put Dutch football back on the map in Europe. After Ajax’s disgrace against Benfica on Tuesday, the Eindhoven team won against Arne Slot’s Liverpool. PSV pulled off a huge stunt by beating Liverpool 4-1 at Anfield in the Champions League. After an early goal via a penalty from Ivan Perisic, Cody Gakpo scored the equalizer against his old club. In the second half, PSV was the better team, with goals from Guus Til and substitute Couhaib Driouech. Driouech even scored a second time in injury time. With this victory, PSV has taken a big step towards the next round of the Champions League. Furthermore, Feyenoord, Go Ahead Eagles, FC Utrecht and AZ will be back in action in a European context on Thursday. Football chief Valentijn Driessen responds.
