During a family visit in Drenthe, 82-year-old Baarnse saw that Coelingh does have a memorial place there, she tells RTV Utrecht. But in the municipality of Baarn, where, according to De Lange, he did an important part of his resistance work, almost no one knows him anymore. And that bothers her. “This is a matter of law and justice,” she says. “He is an example for us. In difficult days you don’t run away or say: just watch it. Not even if it could cost you your life.”
