US F-35 fighter jet crashes into South China Sea

A US Navy F-35 fighter jet crashed into the South China Sea while landing on the USS Carl Vinson, the US Pacific Fleet said.

According to the agency, the pilot ejected, he is now in a stable condition. As a result of the crash, seven sailors were injured, three of them required medical attention at a clinic in Manila in the Philippines, and four more received medical assistance from the medical staff on board the aircraft carrier, the Navy said.
