Stransburg, 29 April. (askanews) – «The consequences of this conflict could be felt for months or even years to come». The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen said this at the plenary session of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.

«And this is why the topic of energy was at the top of the informal agenda of the European Council. This is the second energy crisis in the space of four years. And the lesson to be learned from it should be very clear: our excessive dependence on imported fossil fuels makes us vulnerable», he added.
