Dreesen believes that Kompany and FC Bayern fit together so well is also due to the 39-year-old’s character: “He never pushes himself into the foreground and makes our players better with his meticulous work.”
Sports director Max Eberl is also full of praise for his coach. Kompany “quickly proved that he is moving FC Bayern forward – on and off the pitch. He is an identification figure who unites players, fans and everyone in the club, and we want to develop something with him in the long term.”
